About Us

Every cat that we care for has a story. Some have been living rough on the streets, others abandoned when circumstances changed. A few arrive as tiny kittens, too young to survive on their own. What they all have in common is that they need someone in their corner.

That's where we come in.

CDCR is a volunteer-run rescue serving Crewe and surrounding areas, founded on a simple belief: every cat deserves a chance. Our team of fosterers, fundraisers and volunteers are united by a shared passion for cat welfare, and together we provide the very best care until loving forever homes can be found. Everyone at CDCR shares the same goal of making a difference in the lives of cats.

We have a particular soft spot for feral cats - those that society so often overlooks. Through our active TNR programme (trap, neuter, return), we work tirelessly to prevent unwanted litters and provide medical care to cats who desperately need it. It makes a real difference: fewer cats enduring tough outdoor conditions, and better lives for those already out there.

When it comes to rehoming and adoption, we take our time. We know our cats inside out - their quirks, their histories, what makes them feel safe. Every cat is different, and we work hard to match the right cat with the right people.
