PLEASE HELP!!

Morning everyone... apologies for a couple of graphic pictures but we have a crisis that we need your help with!

We've been approached by the RSPCA following their visit to a large colony of cats after reports from concerned members of the public. These cats have been breeding indiscriminately for years and as you can see, some of them aren't coping so well.

Thankfully the owners are now cooperating to allow us in to trap these cats, neuter them and assess their health needs (the ginger and white with the bad eye and the black kitten with the soaking wet bottom from diarrhoea are now at the vets receiving treatment).

Sandbach Animal Rescue Society are also involved with this case and are very generously helping with the costs, which we expect to be pretty substantial. We would be very grateful to anyone who has a pound or two to donate towards this latest project (it goes without saying that this runs alongside all the other cats we currently have!)

We also need lots of shares of this post (from this page, not groups) to help us find homes for these cats and kittens; unlike normal trap, neuter, return projects we don't really want to be putting them back in the same place, as the feeding and monitoring needed just isn't there..... it's likely that a lot of the adults will need outdoor homes, i.e. farms, stables, smallholdings etc as they will never have lived indoors.....but until we catch them we just never know what beautiful temperaments may be waiting to shine through with some TLC! Kittens will be easier to socialise, the earlier we get them, the better.

So, there's a lot to be done and ideally, we'd like to get a lot of these cats sorted and settled before winter sets in. If you can help in any way- donations towards vet bills, food, sharing the post, we would be so very grateful! We hate to start the week with a begging post but animal rescue is 24/7, 365 days a year and we know what what a great community we're part of. SAY HELLO TO THE FAB FIVE!

These beauties have been with us for such a long time... almost 2 years! They've made such good progress since being brought in at 8-10 weeks old, very feral kittens born to a farm cat. Being feral it's taken a long time to get them to the stage where they are calm and sociable; they now enjoy interacting with us (although Super Cooper and Colin are still very skittish) and need quiet homes with patient people who can bring them on even further. We would like to re-home them in pairs/groups as they're all so close and this will help them gain confidence in a new home. These cats would benefit from experienced owners who understand it could take a long time for them to settle. There will be lots of hiding and it's very much a case of letting them come to you... these things can't be rushed! They will also need to be indoor cats for the foreseeable future until they settle and gain confidence. These cats are so beautiful, they really deserve loving homes... with time and patience they will make absolutely super pets with so much love to give! Contact us for more details... please note, we rehome our kittens in pairs or to families with an existing, compatible cat (note: older cats many not appreciate a bouncy young kitten!). We do not rehome on or near busy roads, or to families with very young children... kittens of this age cannot control their claws and teeth when they play!

Please also bear in mind that these cute little bundles of fluff are a huge commitment! They could live for 15-20 years... do you have the time and finances for them? Keep in mind the costs of food, vet bills, insurance etc and do you have any major lifestyle changes in the offing that may affect your ability to keep them? We don't expect you to have a crystal ball... but it's amazing (and tragic) how many cats are surrendered to rescues or abandoned within just a few months.
